Dark green is the Harris Tweed colour that connects most naturally to the Scottish landscape the fabric comes from. Heather, moss, pine, and bracken all sit within the same tonal range, and the handwoven texture picks up flecks of lighter and darker green that shift depending on the light. This is a cap that looks different outdoors than it does indoors, which is a hallmark of genuine handwoven cloth.

The cap is made from 100% pure new wool, handwoven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and certified with the Harris Tweed Orb mark. The interior is cotton lined for comfort, and the brim is sewn down for a clean, permanent shape. A removable Gladwin Bond side pin adds a small decorative detail that can be kept or removed according to personal preference.

What Makes Harris Tweed Different

Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world protected by its own Act of Parliament (1993). Every metre must be handwoven by islanders in the Outer Hebrides from locally dyed and spun pure virgin wool. The orb mark stamped on certified cloth guarantees this origin. Machine-made tweeds from other regions cannot legally use the name.
