The diamond crown indent on this version adds a sculptural detail to the flat top that catches light along the crease line, preventing the solid black surface from looking completely flat and featureless.

Handmade from crushable wool felt that can be packed for travel without permanent damage. Cotton sweatband, removable feather pin, grosgrain band. The black dye penetrates the entire wool fibre during production, so the colour is consistent through the material rather than sitting on the surface. Five colourways available. Black Pork Pie Hat Care

Black wool felt shows dust and lint more readily than other colours. Brush with a dark-bristled hat brush after each wear, working in the direction of the felt grain. A lint roller handles pet hair and fabric fibres between wears. Store upside down on the crown or on a hat stand to maintain the brim angle. The crushable construction recovers from travel compression, but storing the hat properly between trips will keep it in its best shape.
